Arroyo Grande city staff are scheduled to explain the city’s water system, the impacts of Lopez Lake litigation and how Measure D-26 would allow participation in the State Water Project during a Sept. 29 town hall, one of two sessions about local measures on the Nov. 3 ballot.

The city says Arroyo Grande relies on 100% local water sources, with 60% to 65% of its supply coming from the Lopez Lake Reservoir and the remainder from local groundwater resources. Staff will provide an update on the water system and discuss how Measure D-26 fits into the city’s long-term water strategy.

The town hall is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the City Council Chamber, 215 E. Branch Street. The city says the presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session, and residents can submit questions in advance to AGlistens@arroyogrande.org.
