NEW YORK, June 9 (DC Times Online) — President Donald Trump was met with cheers and louder boos when he appeared on Madison Square Garden’s big screen during the national anthem before Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Fox News reported.

Trump attended the June 8 game in New York City between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs, according to Fox News. A Getty Images caption by photographer Samuel Corum identified Trump at the start of Game 3.

Fox News reported that Trump was shown on the arena video board during the anthem and saluted from a suite as the crowd reacted. His granddaughter, Kai Trump, was beside him, and Knicks owner James Dolan also was in the suite, according to the report.

The response was different from the one Trump received at the College Football National Championship at Hard Rock Stadium, where Fox News reported the crowd cheered when he appeared on the stadium screen during the national anthem.

Fox News also reported that the Madison Square Garden video shot later moved away from Trump and back to the on-court ceremony, where NYPD officers were holding flags.
