DETROIT, June 22 (Our Michigan Times) — Chevrolet has introduced the next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500 and says the pickup is the “most powerful Silverado ever,” with new 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8 engines and a planned on-sale date later this year.

The automaker said the truck will continue to offer four powertrain choices, including the two new V8s, the enhanced 2.7-liter TurboMax and the class-exclusive Duramax 3.0-liter turbo-diesel.

Chevrolet also said the 2027 Silverado 1500 offers the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in its class, though it did not release horsepower, torque or fuel-economy figures in the announcement.

Inside, Chevrolet said every model will come with a digital cockpit that includes a 16.3-inch center display and a 12.2-inch driver information center as standard equipment. ZR2 and High Country trims will add an 11.5-inch front passenger screen, along with a heads-up display and rear camera mirror.

The company said the lineup will include seven models: ZR2, High Country, Trail Boss, Silverado, Custom Trail Boss, Custom and WT. Chevrolet said pricing will be announced later this year.
